Among the contenders

LONDON - The potential winners of this year's Marketing Society Awards for Excellence form a strong line-up.

Among the contenders

The shortlist for the Marketing Society Awards for Excellence 2010 has been revealed, with brands competing for coveted trophies in categories including customer insight, sustainability, ecommerce and marketing transformation.

The judges set out to find examples of pre-eminent marketing and leading-edge thinking that had a clear impact on their brands.

The most-frequently shortlisted brands, with three entries each, include Aviva, Barclays, BT, Business Stream and More Th>n.

The top prize of the evening will be the coveted Grand Prix, won last year by Sainsbury's for its remarkable turnaround strategy.

The Marketing Society Awards for Excellence, sponsored by Accenture, has long been one of the must-attend evenings of the marketing calendar. For those on the shortlist, it could prove to be an evening to savour.
