Alfa Romeo is launching a press and TV campaign to push the launch of its new 147 hatchback model. The brand is aiming to attract more female consumers to the car, increasing its current customer ratio of 25% women to 40%, as well as targeting a younger, 25- to 35-year-old audience. The TV execution, created by Conquest, shows a man standing by his car, checking the direction of the wind by letting strands of grass trickle through his fingers and blow away. He then gets in his 147 and speeds toward a tornado, driving straight through the centre, and coming out on the other side. As he parks up a mangled tractor falls out of the sky and lands next to the car. The strapline reads, 'Stir your soul'.
