The comprises six different trainers, inspired by what Reebok is calling the fashion capitals of the world: London, New York, Paris, Madrid, Tokyo and New Delhi.
The Freestyle first appeared in the 1980s and is closely associated with the craze for aerobics that sprang up during that decade, and aerobic-inspired fashions such as leggings and legwarmers.
A relaunch last year saw the shoes, worn by Jennifer Beals in the film 'Flashdance', featured heavily in the style press.
This year the Paris and Tokyo trainers have been launched, with the other four designs to be released at staggered dates. On the Reebok website an ambassador from each city promotes a shoe, with French singer Yelle promoting the Paris design and dancer Ai Yasuda the Tokyo shoe.
The decision to sign Deyn, who is the face of upmarket fashion label Burberry, has raised eyebrows in the UK fashion press because she had been the guest of honour at a Nike party recently, and was given a pair of Nike trainers.
