The company, which currently has 2,450 licensed betting offices, has contacted a number of agencies regarding the business, with pitches due to take place towards the end of this week.

The process is being run by Alex O'Shaughnessy, the head of product and marketing communications for the company.

In recent years, William Hill has predominantly used its own in-house marketing team to produce its marketing activity.

However, last year the bookmaker did appoint the Manchester-based agency BJL to produce a series of TV ads that promoted the brand's online casino.
