Age UK appoints Duncan Lewis as group marketing and development director

Age UK, the newly launched charity from the merged operations ofg Age Concern and Help the Aged, has appointed former Land Securities marketer Duncan Lewis as its first group marketing and development director.

Duncan will join Age UK in June and be responsible for all its marketing and business developments, including customer relationship marketing, digital, brand services and the Engage business network.

He will assume his responsibilities from Age UK consultant and interim marketing director Lisa McCormack.

He brings years of client marketing experience, including Barclays Premier Banking where he was marketing director, and senior positions at Carlson and RCI.

Duncan is currently leading on marketing for Commonwealth Games England and will retain a part time involvement in this through to the games in October.

His arrival follows the as director of fundraising, and comes ahead of an anticipated £10 million marketing drive involving incumbent agencies Karmarama and Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw.

Age UK was formally launched on 19 April.
