The company currently operates its digital services from 25 offices in 19 countries, although many of these have operated under different names because they have been acquired organically.
The creation of the Isobar brand is designed to provide a clearer, more integrated model for clients and enable Aegis to increase its leverage.
Given that the bulk of Aegis Media's interactive business is called Carat Interactive, it also eliminates potential confusion over its relationship with the two Aegis media networks - Vizeum and Carat.
Aegis launched its first interactive business in 1995 and has built up a group of companies across Europe, North America and Asia.
Digital services provide billings of about $500 million, with online media representing 45 per cent. Isobar will also offer digital creative services.
Morris said: "In 2001 and 2002, when the bust came, we didn't have to pull out because we hadn't over-extended. We have developed a robust business offering a wide range of services."
