ARTeam will be absorbed into Aegis's global research network, Synovate, and has been acquired in a deal that could be worth up to £4.8m over the next three years.
Latest figures for the firm, which is the holding company for QCG and Socioscan, show it had revenues of €7.7m (£5.2m) for the year ending September 30 2004.
Aegis Group CEO Robert Lerwill said: "The acquisition of ARTeam means that Synovate significantly strengthens it presence and capabilities in France. It also greatly benefits ARTeam's clients as the group will join a significant international research network with a portfolio of first class solutions."
Meanwhile Hypermedia, which has clients including Danone, Hewlett Packard, Oracle, Philip Morris and Procter & Gamble, is now the 12th acquisition to join Aegis's digital network Isobar.
Aegis has acquired 100% of the firm's equity for a total consideration of £4.9m over four years.
Lerwill added: "Aegis is seeing very rapid growth in client's digital media spend and through Isobar we are building a global network that delivers excellence in every aspect of digital marketing."
Other recent acquisitions include US internet consulting firm Molecular, which was bought for a total consideration of £16.6m over two years, and search marketing firm iProspect, which is also US based.
Last month, Aegis lost out to German research firm GfK in a bidding war to take over United Business Media's NOP World.
