Adidas launches star-studded TV campaign

Sports stars Andy Murray and Jessica Ennis feature in 180 Amsterdam's new ad for Adidas' mobile app, miCoach.

The brand has lined up a host of British sporting for the campaign, created by 180 Amsterdam. The 60-second action packed film includes stars such as tennis ace Murray, rugby hero Jonny Wilkinson and Olympic gold medallist and heptathlon World Champion Jessica Ennis.

Adidas' miCoach mobile app can be downloaded on iPod and Blackberry devices.

Users will be able to turn their phone into a personal coach with GPS pace-triggered voice coaching to colour-keyed pace zones, personalised and sports-specific training plans, workout calendar, navigator and workout feedback.

The campaign will span TV, print, point-of-sale and digital and captures the athletes using the miCoach app during pre-season training at a series of diverse sports settings from packed commuter streets to derelict wastelands.

Under the strapline, "be faster for your sport", Murray, Wilkinson and Pendleton feature in the ad alongside NFL Super Bowl winner Reggie Bush, NBA All Star Derrick Rose, World Cup winner David Villa and cycling World Champion Victoria Pendleton to highlight the range of sports covered by the app.
