AdConnections wins £3.5m Eckoh Technologies account

AdConnection has won the 拢3.5m Eckoh Technologies media planning and buying account previously held by Acumen and Media Planning Group.

The brief centres on Eckoh Techologies' consumer-facing business Connection Makers, which provides consumer entertainment services, including dating and chat via text messaging, voice-based and WAP technology. Its clients include white goods manufacturer Electrolux, Vue cinemas, bookies William Hill and ITV.

Marcus King, managing director of Connection Makers, said: "We were impressed with AdConnection, as it was able to demonstrate a clear understanding of our business objectives and was able to deliver improved pricing and return for our marketing expenditure that we are sure will deliver success."

AdConnection was appointed by online retailer CD WOW! in early September on a 拢1m media planning and buying brief.

The win followed a three-way pitch and focuses on a TV campaign, which began last month and runs until December in both the UK and Ireland. Created by Spin, the ad features major releases, including the new Robbie Williams album, alongside information about a reduction in the CD WOW! pricing structure.
