WCRS&Co, which has held the account since 2006, has been invited to take part in the review and to re-pitch for the account.

The agency won Kerrygold’s ad business in 2006 following a pitch against Leo Burnett and Farm.

Alastair Jackson, marketing director for Adams Foods, said: "WCRS have delivered a series of strong campaigns for us since their appointment in 2006.

"This is a statutory review driven by procurement best practice as we have now worked with WCRS for over five years."

In February this year, WCRS&Co was reappointed to the Kerrygold digital account after a competitive pitch against undisclosed agencies.

The digital account is not affected by this review.
