LONDON - Adam & Eve has resigned the £5 million Westfield London creative account, due to it picking up the £20 million John Lewis business in February.

John Lewis has a department store in Westfield's nearest competitor shopping centre Brent Cross, as well as stores in Oxford Street and Chelsea.

Adam & Eve was first appointed to the Westfield account following a pitch in March last year, and was given the task of creating campaigns to help promote the launch of the £1.6 billion shopping centre, which opened in West London in October 2008.

The campaigns primarily involved press and billboard work, as well as some TV advertising.

It is thought that Adam and Eve's final campaign for Westfield will be a new spring campaign, which will break over the next few weeks.

The agency has also been working on advertising for the launch of Westfield Stratford, a new shopping centre that will be opened in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
