
The agency has been tasked with growing the brand’s presence in the UK and raising awareness – Desperados claims to be the world’s first tequila-flavoured beer.
Havas Work Club will continue to look after the Desperados global digital account. Work Club won the business in 2013 after a pitch against Razorfish. The account was previously handled by AnalogFolk.
The appointment further strengthens A&E/DDB’s relationship with Heineken. This year, the agency also picked up the John Smith’s advertising account from TBWA\London, as well as digital briefs for Foster’s and Kronenbourg 1664, which were handled by Lean Mean Fighting Machine and Ogilvy & Mather respectively.
Earlier this week, A&E/DDB won the Grand Prix at the IPA Effectiveness Awards for its "good call’ campaign for Foster’s.
