Cycling and triathlon participation is growing in the UK, following the success of Bradley Wiggins, Victoria Pendleton and Mark Cavendish.

Active Media Events, the company behind the show, is hoping to tap into its newfound media attention.

"The exhibition will target the broad range of active cyclists including leisure cyclists, commuters, competitors and triathletes using direct and indirect marketing channels. Our aim is to attract between 14,000 and 18,000
targeted visitors over the 4 days." said Active Media Events' Richard Morris.

"We realise that many brands launch their product in the autumn, however we have gleaned through our research that the concept of model years is not as important as it used to be, especially for accessories. In addition to this many retailers are telling us that decisions on purchases - especially for the novice cyclist or triathlete - only really happens when the spring comes."

The Active Bike and Traithlon Show features seminars, products and demonstrations. It runs alongside the
Virgin London Marathon Exhibition.
