Action on Alzheimer's Drugs Alliance
Jo Brand, Richard Briers and Britt Eckland are among the celebrities to appear in a campaign lobbying against the withdrawal of Alzheimer's drugs from the NHS. The poignant campaign goes under the banner of Hands Off Dementia Drugs, with celebrities sharing memories that they would never want to forget, illustrated by writing on their hands. Briers' special memory is setting up his first home with his first child, while Brand shares a comic tale of inadvertently crashing a car into a garden in front of an impromptu audience. The campaign has been created on behalf of the Action on Alzheimer's Drugs Alliance, a coaltion of bodies including the Alzheimer's Society, Royal College of Psychiatrists, Royal College of Nursing and Age Concern England. The celebrities were photographed by Jamie Hughes.
