ACP-NatMag set to launch second title

ACP-NatMag is gearing up for the launch of its second weekly title, which it plans to call Real People.

The publisher has applied to register the name "Real People" as a trademark with the Patent Office but it is understood that it is currently being run under the name Project Cloud.

Michael Butcher, the former deputy editor of Emap's Closer, and Maria Trjkulia, the previous deputy editor of ACP-NatMag's Reveal, are understood to be involved.

ACP-NatMag, a joint venture between The National Magazine Company and Australian publisher ACP, launched the celebrity weekly Reveal in October last year. ACP publishes three other women's weeklies in its Australian home market - Take 5, NW and Woman's Day - and it is thought that one of these titles will be used as a model for the Real People launch.
