Speaking ahead of the pitch, Channel 4 consumer products manager Richard Amos said that it was looking for "two or three major FMCG brands", but Kevin Stott, Yellow Submarine managing director, indicated that the partnerships may be more varied: "We're not being as prescriptive as that. It is the usual suspects, but we don't want to be limited in our scope and rule anything out."
The agency was in the process of contacting potential partners as P&I went to press and has set itself a Q1 2005 timeframe for finalising promotional strategies.
