Accenture boosts auditing through acquisitions

LONDON - Accenture is boosting its media services expertise after striking deals to acquire two digital marketing companies, Memetrics and Maxamine.

Accenture, which competes with Thomson Intermedia in the media auditing space, acquired Memetrics on 31 December and expects to complete the acquisition of Maxamine within the next 30 days. Financial terms of both agreements were not disclosed.

Memetrics and Maxamine both provide testing and optimisation services to help clients improve the marketing effectiveness of their websites and other digital marketing activities.

Maxamine scans websites to identify problems that hinder online marketing performance. Its services provide guidance to clients looking to improve website optimisation and enhance customer experience.

Memetrics' service analyses variations of web pages, to determine which page format and context will deliver the best marketing performance to each targeted customer group.
