The deal also includes a week-long promotion on the Christian O'Connell Breakfast show in early 2009.

The drive-time sponsorship activity will launch on Monday (3 November) for six months.

It will consist of pre-recorded trails and in-show credits written by Geoff Lloyd, as well as an in-show feature called the Ambi Pur "Fresh Track".

The promotion of Ambi Pur Car is part of a £1.4m media campaign that has also included sponsorship of Five's Fifth Gear show.

Meanwhile, Absolute radio has appointment actor David Meyer to be the new voice of the station.

Meyer, who has previously played Bond villain Mischka in Octopussy, will voice all links and non-presenter speech output.
