Agency Assessments International is bolstering its management
line-up as it extends its "marriage broker" role between agencies and
clients into relationship management.
Although the 13-year-old company's business has been built on helping
advertisers search for and select agencies, David Wethey, AAI's chairman
and founder, said: "There's more to our job than finding new agencies
for clients."
The company's expanded role has led to the appointment of two new
consultants - Mike Cleary, the former European advertising chief at
Procter & Gamble, and Simon Moore, one of the founders of the now
defunct agency Cave Anholt Jonason.
At the same time, AAI has promoted its managing partner, Charles
Kirchner, to managing director and named Brian Sparks, the former chief
executive of McCann-Erickson Ireland, as managing partner of its Irish
operation.
Cleary, who previously worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, is a 32-year P&G
veteran having worked in six countries for the world's largest
advertiser.
Kirchner is a former sales and marketing director of Rothmans
International.
