The AA fills top marketing post

The AA has poached Vodafone corporate marketing director Emma Kenny to take its top marketing role, ending a six-month search.

Kenny will become AA marketing director in July and report to managing director Roger Wood. She will oversee brand strategy and agency relationships.

Kenny replaces Clare Salmon, who was promoted to managing director of AA Financial Services last year (Marketing, 11 December). Former Intel marketer Mike Couzens has filled the role temporarily.

In March the AA hired Steve Sherlock, Churchill Insurance's head of marketing development, to head new propositions development.

Before her current role at Vodafone, Kenny was global CRM director for the mobile phone brand.
