
The name is derived from a line delivered by Will Ferrell’s character in the first instalment of the franchise. Mugatu, an evil fashion diva, throws a foamy latte at his assistant, because the drink makes him bloated.
In celebration of the Zoolander 2 UK premiere today, fans of the film will be able to pick up a complimentary latte made of A2, which claims to be ‘gut-friendly’.
To receive their prize, people simply need to post their best ‘Blue Steel’ pose to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #a2nonfartylatte and present it at the counter. A limited batch of coffees will be available from 10.30am until 4pm.
Scott Wotherspoon, chief executive of A2 Milk UK, said: "The A2 Milk Non-Farty Latte is the unique antidote to the ‘bloatiness and fartiness’ that not only affects Will Ferrell’s Mugatu but also an estimated one in five Brits who suffer from dairy intolerance."
Andrea Alinovi, manager at Said Café, added: "Everyone loves Zoolander and we wanted to do our bit to save the fashion industry from farty and bloaty lattes. By using A2 milk we have managed to create the world’s first non-farty latte."
This week also saw the New York opening of - an experiential offering from beauty brand Kiehl's.
