
The stats are the result of a survey conducted by recruitment firm Hays, which found that 74% of marketing employees had received a salary increase in the past year.
The company quizzed more than 10,000 employers and marketing employees. It found an overall return of confidence among the marketing profession. While 63% are expecting to move job within the next year, 37% of those predict a role change in the next six months.
In spite of the fact that three-quarters of marketers experienced a pay increase in past 12 months, the research revealed that 61% are nevertheless dissatisfied with their pay and nearly half (48%) said their current role did not offer enough scope for career progression.
With most employers perceiving a skills shortage, marketing employers are investing more heavily in training and raising their profiles with candidates, Hays’ research found.
