Adrian Pettett gave me my first break in music marketing about five years ago, when I was an account director at Cake. He is still a partner at the agency and has now launched a branch in New York.
The main thing I learnt from Adrian was his maverick style.
He was also very personable and approachable, using his people skills to great effect when he was presenting ideas. He was never afraid to take risks and always encouraged me to trust my conviction in an idea.
