Years ago, when I was at McCann Erickson, I marched into Fiona Parashar's office, who was then managing director of Universal McCann. I then started whining about a perceived career slight.
Rather than slap me or have me removed from the building, she grilled me on what I planned to do about it. Before I knew it, I was marching back out, brimming with purpose.
Thus began an inspiring relationship of informal mentoring followed by professional coaching, when she set up her business, Leadership Coaching.
Later, I joined Fiona in WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications London). There I have been the beneficiary of advice from a host of incredi-ble women such as Carolyn McCall, Kerry Glazer, and, of course, the wonderful Tess Alps.
