I have been really lucky so far and worked for some inspirational leaders early in my career.
However, there is one person who definitely taught me the importance of getting things right first time – and making sure you become known for it: Fiona Wilkinson, senior vice-president of corporate communications at Visa Europe.
Fiona has an ability to find and nurture the right talent to maximise results, while letting them shine for their achievements and helping them focus on the things they are good at.
In my view, Fiona is a great example of what an executive woman can be today. She is smart, gracious, and has managed to balance a very successful career with a loving family, showing sceptics that you can have your cake and eat it.
